Museum of Anthropology, one of the best Vancouver tourist attractions

This museum was full of items from indigenous folks of the province. These were laid out in spacious sections and every display was accompanied by a description that explained its history, use and significance.

They also sections dedicated to many items from other regions(Korea, Japan, India, etc.) of the world, which will  surprise you! The museum’s backyard is huge and contains totem poles and expansive views. Do walk by there. The gift shop, on the other hand, is small and overpriced.

Small but well executed attraction. Fascinating to learn more about Chinese culture and architecture. The stones were also really impressive.

Recommend getting a tour to understand the significance of certain design choices/embellishments. History lovers place!

Vancouver Art Gallery

Lovely building. easy to find . The body of work being presented is very modern and contemporary. Would have liked to see more traditional art.

Vancouver Art Gallery

The majority of the exhibition is by Emily Carr ,who was  born in Vancouver Island she has a beautiful relationship and love of indigenous cultures which is wonderfully evident through her work and a clear understanding of nature . while beautiful, there is a room for additional works. Beautiful and lovely.

Vancouver Seawall

It’s a wall that holds up the island, the island itself is nice for a walk alone or with a dog, or worst case with the kids just to get some fresh air.

Vancouver Seawall

There is an old boat marina where the wall starts. That’s not very cool either. Overall not worth the 24 min drive from the city centre. Great for athletes!
